Liberty Professionals and Black Stars B defender Samuel Sarfo  says the side is poised to record a victory against their Burkinabe counterparts when both nations meet in a CHAN qualifier on August 11.

According to him, the Black Stars B team have learnt their lessons from the recent loss to de Visser, and are motivated enough to triumph in the encounter.

Sarfo and his colleagues lost 3-1 to the academy side on Monday, raising doubts over to whether the team was adequately prepared for the upcoming qualifier against Burkina Faso.

However, the defender believes there is no cause for alarm, insisting the team has been training well ahead of the game.

“I think we have been preparing for a long time and the measures put in place have been reflecting in the games we have played," Sarfo affirmed.

He added: “Sometimes it is good to just accept defeat so in that case you can come back stronger. I believe the loss will ginger us to fight harder."

Speaking on the motivation of the squad, Sarfo was of the conviction that the management had done their bit to ensure the team was in good shape, adding that the players are already self-motivated.

"We (the players) are our own motivators and also the management part. I believe it will be team work that will take us through the game at the end of the day.”

Ghana has been to three African Nations Championships since its inception in 2009, placing 2nd twice in 2009 and 2014.

The West Africans exited in the group stages in the 2011 edition, and performed worse in the last edition after failing to qualify for the tournament.

The Black Stars B team will take on Burkina Faso in the first leg of the qualifiers on August 11 in Ougadogou, with the return leg to be played a week later in Accra.
